This We Believe

We are a church that believes God loves everyone, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. We are a church rooted in the Holiness movement of the Wesleyan Church, yet we embrace all the gifts of the Spirit and seek to live out our faith in our everyday lives. We desire to see all people find a place of peace and a home church in our church family where they can be fed and ministered to. We desire to see our church family grow as they receive love. We believe in the Godhead, the Holy Trinity, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are distinguishable yet indivisible (Matthew 23:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14),

Scriptures - The Canon

We believe the Canon of Scripture is God-breathed and inspired, without fault, and the final authority for all matters of the Christian faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13)

The God-head

We believe the Father is the Source of all that exists, whether of matter or spirit. With the Son and the Holy Spirit, He made man, male and female, in His image.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the Savior for all and that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and is of the same essential nature, majesty, and glory as the Father and the Son, truly and eternally God. He is the administrator of grace to all, and is particularly the effective agent in conviction for sin, in regeneration, in sanctification, and in glorification.

The Resurrection

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25)

Salvation

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross at Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins. (Ephesians 2:8,9; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11)

Baptism

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Godhead to fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6)

In infant baptism, we celebrate that God has moved first. Grace has been poured out, and we look forward to the day that child will surrender their life fully to Christ. Whether adult or infant, God’s grace seeks us out before we have the understanding to respond. In adult baptism we celebrate that the person has not only received that grace, but that they have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ.

Communion

We believe God invites all to the table of the Lord, commonly called the Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers.  We celebrate to receive a fresh outpouring of grace and mercy. We celebrate so that through the sharing of one cup, we might be united. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32 ; Matthew 26:26-28)

Satan

We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil and eternal judgment of Satan and his angels. (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10-15)Eternal Life - We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16; Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15)

Hell

We believe that the Scriptures clearly teach that there is a conscious personal existence after death
